Seasons at Gems: New member 2007

SOMETHING ABOUT ME - started through Surrey System at school, post school - Birmingham Uni and Midland Region, Post Uni living and teaching in North London - played for Oakwood for 2 years and also played for the GB Maccabiah Squad that won gold at the Maccabiah Games in 1997 (beat the Aussies - always good), 6 seasons at Old Actonians until all the travelling got a little too much as I continued to move further away from Ealing .

I have a habit of doing the splits when I get drunk and I think everyone wants to see it - I even did it on my wedding day - not holding oneself as demurely as one should on one's wedding day!!

The main reason for joining Gems is 1 - they play only round the corner so I can cycle to matches and it wont take up my whole weekend and 2 - mainly because when I met the Gems team on tour in 2006 in Spain, I realised what a great group of girls they were and although I was leaving great netball friends from Old Actonians, I knew that it would be easy to fit in to Gems as a club and I really look forward to making new netballing friends a little nearer to home.
